President Museveni scoffs at terrorists “we shall smash these pigs”

Uganda’s President Yoweri Museveni has urged Ugandans to remain calm, assuring the country that criminals who orchestrated the explosion in Kwata zone, Komamboga, Kawempe will be defeated.

“The public should not fear, we shall defeat this criminality like we have defeated all the other criminality committed by the pigs who don’t respect life,” the president tweeted Sunday morning.

President Museveni said he had been briefed about the incident and the information gathered so far points to a terrorist attack.

He, however, noted that police was still investigating to give a detailed briefing.

“I have been briefed on the bomb incident in Kwata zone, Komamboga. The Information I have is that 3 people came and left a package in kaveera which later on exploded, killing 1 person and injuring 5 others,” he tweeted. “It seems to be a terrorist act but we shall get the perpetrators,” he added.

“The Police Specialists are on the ground investigating the whole incident. They will give us more information later. They will also give guidelines on vigilance by the public dealing with these possible terrorists.”

The explosion, which went off Saturday night at Digida pork joint, followed a warning from the UK government that a terror attack was imminent in Uganda
