On behalf of Uganda Tourism Board-UTB I wish to congratulate His Majesty King Oyo of Tooro Kingdom for successfully summiting Rwenzori Mountains after a 10 day trek-Chief Executive Officer of Uganda Tourism Board-Lilly AjarovaHe becomes the first cultural leader to make it to the top of Rwenzori Mountains.
I was honoured to be among the team that welcomed him back from the trek,which included the Queen Mother Best Kemigisa, Amos Wekesa among others.
The King’s Summit is part of the activities aimed at raising awareness on the need for sustainable tourism development and environmental conservation.
Once again I am very thankful to the team behind The Royal Expedition 2022, from Tooro Kingdom, United Nations Development Programme – UNDP and other stakeholders in the tourism sector.
