A trip to the beach is apparently good for the soul, and we can see why. The sand between your toes, the sound of the waves crashing against the shore, families having fun spending time together in the fresh air. Throw in some ice creams, a swimsuit if you’re someone that enjoys splashing in the water, and plenty of fun, and you are sure to make some good memories to treasure. Of course, someone in the group will have to carry everything onto the beach while you try and find the perfect spot for the day, but it is a small price to pay for a great day out, right?

Of course, another thing that most people really do take enjoyment out of is people watching. The perfect time to make full use of a pair of shades, which are great if you don’t want to be caught out staring, and the unsuspecting targets of your attention should be none the wiser. There’s no shame in it. Most of us do it at one time or another. Thankfully, you might sometimes be lucky enough to witness a really comical moment, and some have been even luckier to have caught it on camera.

When you really want to ride a horse on the beach, but don’t have a horse

Horse riders are often lucky enough to enjoy the beach in its full glory, riding their beloved four-legged animal, with the wind in their hair, fresh air all around them, and high enough up to enjoy much more of the scenery. However, these guys took riding on the beach to a whole new level.

Perhaps they weren’t in a position to have a horse of their own to ride, or maybe they just wanted to bring a bit of comedy to the beach? Whatever the reason, we fully appreciate what they’ve done here, and we are sure many other people on the beach that day did too! Hopefully, this wasn’t just a one-off, as it would most definitely brighten up someone’s day.

The best bit about parenting has to be the kids reaction to situations

A trip to the beach with your kids can be one of the best days out for many parents. Kids entertaining themselves by building sandcastles and finding treasure. Parents having the opportunity to relax. Oh, and parents frightening their kids.

Although we are sure this girl didn’t find this is the least bit funny, it seems dad was having the time of his life finding enjoyment in his daughter’s reaction to a sea monster creeping out from the shallows. Luckily, this moment was caught on camera, one for the album to look back on, or the perfect photo for her 18th birthday party. We’re pretty sure the car ride home might not have been too fun with the stench of seaweed.

Now, this would be a moment worth being at the beach for any animal lover. Not only is this seal up close to everyone on the beach, but it’s taking full advantage of the perfect bathing spot. It doesn’t appear too phased by the people around, and according to sources, it is somewhat of a star on this beach.

Fondly named Argiro by the locals, which in Greek means ‘Silverly’, the people that work on the beach wanted to ensure she enjoyed her time there as comfortably as possible. When it became apparent that she enjoyed laying in the sunshine, they decided to save her a sun lounger so that she always has a spot to enjoy doing what she does best.

This gives driver error a whole new meaning

When Dodge decided that they wanted to make a commercial with one of their brand new $60,000 trucks, they decided where better than on the beach? After all, great lighting, picturesque scenery, what’s not to love? Unfortunately, the person they chose to drive the vehicle was perhaps preoccupied with something other than the situation at hand and decided to drive straight into the sea.

Now, we’re not sure quite what their thought process was at that moment in time, maybe they thought it was shallow and that some shots of it driving through the water would look great? Sadly for them, that error in judgment was an expensive one, with the truck having to be recovered with what we assume was a lot of damage.

Ensuring you have some footwear close after your trip to the beach

Sandals are a vital part of any beach trip. They let your feet breathe without having to worry about treading on something sharp, they are easily washed off if they end up covered in sand, and they are designed for ease of popping them on and off. However, in this instance, the owner of these shoes wanted to make sure that they weren’t lost during their trip out.

Although this does seem a bit of an extreme reaction, the owners clearly thought they were too treasured to lose or to become foul to a bit of petty crime. The question remains though: did they carry that large lock around all day just in case they needed to leave their shoes alone for a few moments?

With most people visiting beaches on sunny days, most of them are lacking much shade to escape the heat and they are a must-have to keep the glaring sun out of your eyes. With the world of social media being a huge part of a lot of people’s lives, it’s the perfect opportunity to get a photo with the one you love to share with your friends and family. Unfortunately for this couple, there appears to be a joker on the beach at the same time as them.

Seeing the perfect opportunity to make a few people laugh, this man decided that jumping in the background of their romantic photo would have hilarious results. We wonder if the couple noticed before heading home, or if they got a surprise when flicking back through their beach photos?

Creating a sand couch is one way to enjoy the beach

Most of us have heard the term ‘couch potato,’ usually referring to somebody that spends a lot of their time sitting on their couch and not doing much else. Generally, the people around them will try and encourage them to take a trip out and enjoy some fresh air away from the comfy throne where they like to spend their time.

A trip to the beach will very rarely include a couch, but this guy wants the best of both worlds. We’ve got to give it to him, it is creative and we’re a little jealous of his perfect beach seating. Although it probably took him a lot of time and planning to build, the results most definitely speak for themselves.

However, in this instance, whether this is some kind of clever advertising or if it really is the showers at this beach, it’s pretty funny nonetheless. Hopefully, it isn’t soda coming out of the shower heads because that would make the sand removal process even more difficult, and a lot stickier. We are finding ourselves wondering what the guy that has pulled up his chair is doing though?

A dog really enjoys his trip to the beach

Lots of dog owners like nothing better than taking their beloved pooch for a run along the beach – and most dogs have an absolute blast! With the sand under their paws, water to play around in, and an abundance of space to fetch a ball, it might be no wonder that a lot of dogs will get extremely excited on their trip out.

Most animal lovers like nothing better than to take photos of their pets, and this owner had excellent timing when they decided to take a picture of their spaniel having the time of their life. Donuts on the beach are a must-have for lots of day-trippers. The smell alone is something that almost everyone will take great pleasure in being hit with and after a quick sniff of that delicious circular treat, it’s hard to resist buying one for yourself. Quite often, people will make a few days of their beach trip, and who could blame them? Anybody that is lucky enough to have a home to attach to their vehicle will probably know that you can really embrace your surroundings if you stay for a few days on the beach. This couple decided to do just that when a biker wanted to get in on the action. Perhaps they asked him to take the photo for them and he happily obliged, as most people would?

However, assuming he was at the beach on his own, he wanted to get in on the action. Luckily, this couple was more than happy to let him become a part of their day, with a funny photo of their chance encounter. It just goes to show that love can be shared!

Sometimes you will come across something that just doesn’t add up, no matter how hard you try to figure it out. Whatever the situation is here, it probably has many people wondering about the meaning behind this random door and postbox on the beach. It’s common knowledge that everyone should use sunscreen when out in the sun. Sadly, on the odd occasion that you might have forgotten, it becomes apparent pretty quickly when you step off of the beach and notice that you’ve turned a lovely shade of lobster. Most of us feel as though we’ve lost a limb when we can’t use our phones, and these days having WiFi is a huge part of that. How on Earth are we supposed to load our photos onto social media without it? Of course, there is one other option, live in the moment and speak to people instead of scrolling through social media and texting your friends to let them know how much fun you’re having at the beach.

This beach hut feels the same, and they decided that this would be a WiFi-free zone. Although it probably made a few people wonder how they would spend their day without being able to be glued to their screens, just like stepping back to a simpler time.

The real Mr. Krabs has found a better way to get a fast buck

Mr. Krabs is a character that sticks in your mind, and if you’ve ever seen the popular kids show ‘Spongebob Squarepants,’ you’ll know exactly what we mean. This little fella reminds us exactly of him: a crab that will do just about anything to get his claws on someone else’s hard-earned cash and even framed his first dollar and put it proudly on display on his wall.

Unfortunately for this little sea creature, he’s been caught in the act when trying to steal some unsuspecting beachgoer’s money. It is definitely a photo-worthy moment, and perhaps this photographer has come across the original Mr. Krabs himself? We just hope he managed to get his money back before it was lost underwater forever.

Always be aware of the thieves in the sky when eating on the beach

Getting ice cream is an important part of any day on the beach. It’s the perfect treat to help you cool down when the sun is at its hottest. However, it’s wise to keep a tight grip on your ice cream, as certain winged creatures in the sky will do anything to get their beaks on your coned treat. This is a perfect example of one of these occasions.

This person had just bought themselves a nice cooling snack when a seagull decided that it was better utilized in their stomach. Even if this unsuspecting victim lost their ice cream, they did well to get a great snap of the seagull stealing it. If they got another, hopefully, they managed to eat it themselves.

Ten years ago, selfie sticks weren’t a thing, so people had to get creative with taking large group pictures, and this meant that you had to try anything to get a decent shot which probably took several attempts to get right. Remember the pictures of your friends’ feet all together in the shape of a star, or shadow selfies so that everyone got in?

This is one great and creative way of getting a picture with your friends! It’s not something we’ve ever thought of, but we wish we had. Imagine the different faces you could draw in the sand? Most of us have seen that one selfish person trying to get away with parking in the most inappropriate spot for their own needs, and more often than not they cause others a bit of inconvenience. Sometimes that could be blocking other cars in just so they don’t have as far to walk, or sometimes it’s parking in places not meant for cars.

Although this could be totally innocent, there is every chance that this was one of these aforementioned times. Taking your dog to the beach is fairly common. Man’s best friend enjoying the fun of running around playing fetch with their owner. However, it’s usually known that cats aren’t quite in the habit of taking orders from their humans and will normally do what they want. This leads to most cats not being taken out on day trips, for obvious reasons, but it seems that this cat’s family had other ideas.

On deciding to take their cat to the beach with them, they would have been surprised to find that a professional dancer was there having a photoshoot at the same time. We’re unsure whose idea it was to incorporate the cat, they did get a good photo, but it doesn’t look too pleased with the situation.

Everybody deserves a bit of time out at the beach

Everyone needs time away from the stress and drama of everyday life, and a trip to the beach is usually the perfect choice for a day of relaxing and clearing your mind. This isn’t limited to just us people. Even our best-loved tv characters need a time out from their busy TV schedule. In the case of ‘Sesame Street’s cookie monster, it seems he just needs a bit of time on his own.

Unfortunately for him, he isn’t going to get much peace and quiet blending in amongst the swarms of other people doing the same thing, due to his large blue self sticking out like a sore thumb. Hopefully, he wasn’t bothered too much by adoring fans asking for his autograph.

Seagulls aren’t afraid of a little competition at the beach

The scavengers of the beach, seagulls can be a force to be reckoned with. With so much time around humans, they aren’t afraid to fight for what they want, and in most cases that includes food that is sometimes not even in easy reach. This group found themselves falling victim to these brazen little balls of feathers, who took no hostages when it came to getting their beaks into some of the food that was laid out for the day.

The best bit about this photo has to be the amount of chaos that is in the background. From people screaming to food and drinks flying everywhere, it’s a hilarious photo that we’re sure they’ll laugh at later on once the stress of the situation has worn off.

Beaches aren’t just for sunbathing and beach volleyball. Watersports are a lot of fun to be had by anyone wanting to have a day full of fun activities. They aren’t limited to your average joe either, and in this instance, a woman dressed as a nun decided that the surfboards looked too good to miss.

We aren’t sure if this lady is actually a nun, or if she perhaps just fancied a day at the beach in fancy dress, but she probably got some intrigued looks from the other people at the beach that day. We hope her outfit copes ok if she does end up in the sea, because the fabric looks as though it could be heavy in large amounts of water.

Who needs a shirt when you can just get sunburnt at the beach?

Most of us have been there at one point or another. Going to the beach for the day and realizing once we’ve arrived that we’ve forgotten the sun lotion, or not reapplied it enough throughout the day and ended up with some tan lines we’d rather have avoided. In most cases, it is usually just the odd line that is easily covered.

Sadly, in the case of this man, he’s stepped away with a replica of his favorite shirt. Thankfully, the lines don’t seem to be bothering him too much unless, of course, he is hoping his back catches up with his shoulders and arms. Now, it’s unclear which one of these models was first in with this idea, but everyone else had to follow suit. With the social media era being in full force, many feel they have to upload as many photos of their perfect day as is humanly possible.

Part of going to the beach is the fun of beach towels, umbrellas, and cooler bags filled with snacks. Sadly, not everyone that visits the beach is a lover of sand – and who could blame them? It gets everywhere and has the added surprise of being super itchy the longer it’s left. This couple had a great idea, although, we’d imagine it wasn’t without some extreme effort involved.

They apparently weren’t too concerned about the tide coming in, and hopefully, luck was on their side with that. Amazingly, they probably had the most comfortable seating area on the entire beach, even if they did get a few looks and gossips from the people enjoying their day around them. Hopefully getting it home wasn’t too difficult.
