Kampala,Uganda:Tension As Chief Justice Owiny-Dollo’s Office Catches Fire

The office of the Chief Justice Alfonse Owiny-Dollo at the Supreme Court in Kololo, Kampala caught fire this morning. However, the fire brigade was able to put it out.

The fire started inside Chief Justice Owiny Dollo’s office before he reported for work.

Some of the witnesses say that there were two loud bangs during the infernal.

Police is yet to establish the cause and extent of the damage.

It should however be noted that there is an unexplained spate of fires that have been ravaging building in and around Kampala, destroying properties worth millions of shillings and in some cases lives.

However, despite conducting various investigations into  these fires, the police have never released any report about the infernos and or what  causes them.

Alfonse Chigamoy Owiny-Dollo is a Ugandan lawyer and judge.

He has been the Chief Justice of Uganda since August 20th, 2020.

He served as the Acting Chief Justice of Uganda from June 22th, 2020 and was a deputy Chief Justice from September  30th,  2017.

He made headlines few weeks after uttering derogatory statements against Kabaka Ronald Mutebi  by alleging that  the Buganda monarch was flown abroad  for medical attention aboard the presidential jet, although he later swallowed his words and apologized.
