KATHMANDU, April 15 — For the first time, Nepal’s national flag carrier will fly to Saudi Arabia on a regular basis from April 22.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has already given permission to Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) to operate flights to Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.
The corporation is about to start regular flights in Kathmandu-Riyadh-Kathmandu sector as per business plan. The NAC had been preparing to fly on this route for a long time but did not get permission.
Earlier, only Himalayan Airlines was allowed to operate flights to Saudi Arabia. Now that the NAC has regular flights, it is expected that the fare on this route will be cheaper.
