Kampala, Uganda: The Codenamed “Cocktails in the City” is the new thing on the mouth of every bar worker and Customer in Kampala.
In a layman’s language, Cocktails are different mixtures applied to drinks to give them another version of taste and content.

Amplified Bartenders in partnership with Central Perk, Kampala have launched and new trend in bar business in the City Kampala codenamed “Cocktails in the City”.
The launch started with Media engagement yesterday at Central Perk, Bukoto-Kampala and on 26th of this month is the Cocktails Show.

According to Baguma Justus one of the top organizers of the event and partner at Amplified Bartenders says that this is the 1st Edition of the Cocktails in the City that is to take place on the 26th of this month at Central Perk, Bukoto-Kampala.
Baguma says this event is projected to happen quarterly (After every 3 months) and will spread from Kampala to other areas in form of a tour aimed at spreading the new art innovated in the Bar Industry.

He confirms that on that day, there will be a lot of entertainment from notable singers and comedians as people enjoy the new model in the City.
He informs that Entrance is free on that day, their aim is bringing to the public face the new innovation in bar industry and the event will go till lady but with exclusion of under the age of 18 people.
Amos Waisswa while speaking to the yesterday highlighted that “Cocktails in the City” is a new innovation by a united group of Bartenders under Amplified Bartenders with the aim of uplifting their work from what people knew ordinary as opening a bottle and serving it to the customer.

He went on to say that through this, they will let people know the meaning of Cocktail, the different ingredients used, how they mix it and how it is supposed to be served in addition to showcasing different flares while serving the different types of cocktails.
He says by doing this, it will be a direct signal to their bosses that away from serving just drinks, there are other things they can amazingly perform thereby compelling them to value their services.

It’s high time we shift from the ordinary way of service in bars especially the Cocktails in this case to a more entertaining and enjoyable one. We shall perform a lot of flares on that day. Waisswa says.
Waisswa also informed that Cocktails help reduces the high alcoholic content of the drinks thereby not being of a negative effect to the customers.
He called on all bar owners in the countryside to be part of an event and to bartenders to come and learn new and more things in line with preparing and serving cocktails.
