Wendi,TotalEnergies Uganda Partner to Ease product Merchant Payments for Motorists.

As a way of simplifying customer experience at all Total fuel stations, Pearl Bank (formerly PostBank Uganda) have announced partnership that allows motorists to use the Wendi mobile wallet platform.
Customers are now able to pay for fuel, gas, car service and do shopping at all Total station shops ranging from a minimum amount of Ush. 500 with a maximum transaction amount of Ush. 5 million per transaction. While the maximum customer wallet balance is Ush. 20 million, the merchant wallet balance has no limit. .
Speaking at the partnership event, Peter Ssenyange, Chief Financial Officer at Pearl Bank Uganda, highlighted how Wendi continues to be an innovative solution that enables access to digital financial services anywhere and at any time.
“Wendi is a solution provider, and its name, proves that the wallet is here to support our people in their day-to-day transactions. We are glad to join efforts with TotalEnergies to enable make their payments fast, secure, and affordable.” Ssenyange said.
He added “In addition to fuel payments, Wendi users enjoy 10% interest per annum on savings, which is to encourage the saving culture among Ugandans, ultimately improving their financial resilience.”
Joseph Wechuli, the TotalEnergies’ Finance Manager, noted that the partnership is timely and champions sustainability, and the continued adoption of innovative approaches that drive convenience and timely access to services.
“This partnership with Wendi highlights TotalEnergies’ commitment to innovation and customer convenience. By introducing digital payment options at our fuel stations, we are giving customers easier and more flexible ways to pay for fuel and other services. Collaborations such as this are important in improving how customers access and pay for essential services.” he said
The enrollment of the dealer stations where purchases or transactions can be made is ongoing and should be completed by the end of November 2025.
Since its inception, Wendi has onboarded over 1.3 million subscribers and works with over 4,000 agents countrywide.
Wendi mobile wallet is licensed by the National Payments System Act
In collaboration with the government of Uganda, PostBank Uganda through Wendi has ably supported the implementation of some of projects, payment of Parish Development Model funds to beneficiaries.
