President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni; an expert in war went to the bush to fight and bring peace and security to Uganda, I have also come as an economic expert to fix our economy and bring wealth to the country.
This has been Nathan Nandala Mafabi’s message to the people of Kamwenge district this afternoon, where he is currently conversing for votes for his 2026 presidential bid on the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) ticket.
Mafabi who spoke in Luganda to address the gathering along the Kamwenge-Fort Portal road in Kahunje town council said his message was for Uganda as a whole.
”A freedom fighter brought you security as he always tells you people. For I am an expert in economics. So, vote for me, an economic expert to fix this country’s economy and bring you wealth,” Mafabi explained to the chantting crowd.
Mafabi also revealed that among all the eight candidates competing with him in next year’s presidential race to the state house, only him possesses the knowledge required to uplift Uganda economically and bring wealth to the locals.
”If you want money in your homes, vote for me because it’s only me among all the campaigning who has the knowledge on how economies are fixed,” he said.
The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) leaders currently traversing Kamwenge District for support, pledge to support micro entrepreneurs to scale their businesses .
They argue that the NRM government has done it’s best in the last 40 years but citizens continue to ponder how to acquire quality basic needs.
FDC National Chairperson, Jack Sabiiti says he has been in prior governments including the Uganda People”a Congress (UPC) and so far, Uganda can best be led by a person of Nandala Mafabi’s caliber, with experience in financial management, taxation and how to boost growth of poor economies.
Sabiiti asks the people of Kahunge in Kamwenge District to test Nandala Mafabi leadership he describes to be full of fresh ideas by voting for him in January 2026.
Nandala Mafabi says his government will extend financial support to micro entrepreneurs as a way of scaling their businesses than taxing them, a method that has killed businesses in the country.
A survey by Twaweza Uganda, an NGO recently revealed that even when half the population of Uganda had started a business, the majority failed due to taxes, high power tariffs and low market access due to poor road network.
Mafabi promises to use his knowledge to improve the country ravaged by poverty.
