Uganda’s rising badminton stars Fadilah Shamika Mohamed Rafi and Tracy Naluwooza storms the 2025 Uganda international badminton Series Tournament Women’s Doubles after defeated Malaysian duo Lim Xuan and Joanne (21-12,17-21,21-19) in the highly anticipated tense game played this at MTN indoor Arena in Lugogo.
It should be remembered that this Malaysian duo of Lim Xuan and Joanne eliminated Fadilla Shamika and Tracy Naluwooza at the quarter finals stage of the recent concluded Kampala international feature Series.
The Ranked Africa’s No.1 women’s doubles pair, Shamika and Naluwooza will face the Switzerland duo Jenjira Stadelmann and Leila Zarrouk in the women’s doubles finals.
Meanwhile Muzafuru Lubega team up with Husina Kobugabe outclassed by Malaysian duo Zi Xiang Chong and Joanne with (17-21,21-17,21- 15) points while the Women Singles Husina Kobugabe was defeated by Indian Srivally Anumula (21-15,21-17) points.
Uganda’s duo Fred kirabo and Ivan mayega were defeated by Indian Tanmoy Bikash and Kuldeep (21-16,21-11)to storms the semi’s While the Gladys Mbabazi was beaten by Malaysian Joanne Ng (21-18,21-9).
In another women Singles Fadilla Shamika was beaten by Indian’s Rujula Ramu by (21-14,21-9) points .
