COSASE Chairperson Medard Ssegona issues fresh summons to Uganda Airlines Management to appear before Parliament

 By Godfrey Kiyingi/KMA Updates.
In a surprising turn of events, Uganda Airlines management, led by CEO Jennifer Bamuturaki, has failed to appear before Parliament’s Committee on Commissions, Statutory Authorities and State Enterprises COSASE  as earlier scheduled today.
The management had been summoned to respond to critical issues raised in the Auditor General’s report for the financial year 2023/2024.
Their failure to appear has drawn concern from the committee, which had expected follow-up responses after a previous engagement.
COSASE Chairperson Medard Ssegona has now issued fresh summons, rescheduling the meeting to tomorrow expanding the scope of the new summons to include the airline’s former management, led by Cornwell Muleta which is under scrutiny for its controversial decision to procure four CRJ Bombardier jets aircraft models that are now reportedly out of production and no longer have readily available spare parts.
