MK Chaplain Granted Shs 4M Bail Over Shs 336M Fake Cheque Scandal.

The Kisoro Chief Magistrate’s Court, presided over by His Worship Kenneth Komakech, has granted a cash bail of Shs 4 million to Charles Mbarusha, a self-proclaimed MK Chaplain and His Grace in the King Ceaser Development Kingdom.
Mbarusha is accused of issuing a false cheque worth Shs 336 million.
According to the prosecution, Mbarusha allegedly issued a fake cheque to Millennium House Enterprises in Kisoro Municipality, claiming the amount was a loan he had borrowed two years ago.
Mbarusha’s lawyer, Rodgers Nabasa, presented four sureties and pleaded with the court to release his client on bail.
However, State Attorney Christopher Ainomugisha objected to the request, arguing that Mbarusha frequently travels to the Democratic Republic of Congo, a region plagued by political instability, and poses a flight risk.
He also noted that none of the sureties presented had the financial capacity to recover the Shs 336 million in question.
