The Rt Hon Speaker, Anita Among paid a Courtesy visit to the Uganda Cranes National team on Sunday morning.Among offered encouraging words to boost their morale.
She urged the players to give their best effort to raise Uganda’s flag high on the continental stage. The Speaker also conveyed the support of H.E. the President, whom she referred to as Uganda football’s number one fan. She assured the team that the President, a strong supporter of sports in the country, would motivate them in their patriotic duty.
*Additionally, the Speaker presented a contribution of $20,000 to the team*, pledging to donate the same amount for every win. She also delivered a contribution of *20 million shillings from businessman Hammis Kigundu*, who has promised to reward the team with the same amount for each victory in the tournament.
