Bryan Mbeumo transfer news: Brentford forward completes Man Utd medical ahead of £71m move to Old Trafford

Man Utd have admired Bryan Mbeumo for some time and feel he is a good fit for Ruben Amorim’s system; United submitted an improved offer worth £71m on Thursday; the forward has completed medical and should sign in time to join USA tour which departs on Tuesday.

Manchester United’s move for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo has entered the final stages of completion.

There is an expectation that everything will be sorted in time for him to be part of the United squad that flies to the United States on Tuesday for the club’s pre-season tour.

It is understood Mbeumo has completed his medical and formalised the details on a long-term contract.

Mbeumo joined Brentford from French side Troyes in 2019. He has become the club’s record sale after scoring 20 top-flight goals last term, plus eight assists.

Mbeumo said: “As soon as I knew there was a chance to join Manchester United, I had to take the opportunity to sign for the club of my dreams; the team whose shirt I wore growing up.
