Star India fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah broke legendary all-rounder Kapil Dev’s record for most five-wicket hauls away from home by an Indian. Bumrah became the 15th Indian bowler to have his name on the Lord’s honours board as he registered his 15th five-wicket haul on Day 2 of the third Test against England.
It was also his 13th five-wicket haul away from home, leaving behind Kapil Dev (12) in the list. Bumrah ran through the England top order with a sensational spell in the first session on Day 2 as he helped India make a comeback into the game. He first cleaned up Ben Stokes (44) with a beauty, thrashing his stumps.
