The FDC party is represented at the Young Democracy Union of Africa (YDUA)

  
The FDC party is represented at the Young Democracy Union of Africa (YDUA) leaders conference in Rabat, Morocco, by Mr. Adepo Francis, FDC National Youth leader, and Mr. Mulindwa Walid Lubega, former Youth leader and outgoing YDUA board member. The conference, themed “Democratizing Africa in the age of social media and artificial intelligence: the centre right youth agenda,” was  yesterday officially opened by the Hon. Nizar Baraka, leader of the governing Istiqlal Party and Morocco’s Minister for Water and Equipment at the Istiqlal Party Headquarters in Rabat.
Hon. Baraka emphasized the need for digital inclusion and innovation, encouraging young people to leverage artificial intelligence to address complex challenges.
The YDUA platform is a consortium that has brought together over 22 political party’s youth Leagues in Africa that subscribe to the centre right political philosophy and ideology. FDC subscribe to the centre right ideology and is a good standing member of the continental grouping of Democracy Union of Africa.
The ongoing conference among others, will change the platform leadership through election after the elapse of the mandatory two years tenure of Kiirya Ismail’s led administration, constitutional review, networking,providing training opportunities, network and sharing experiences and as well as visit to the Moroccan Parliament to experience the country’s sanctuary of democracy.
YDUA conference in Morocco, North Africa, is made possible this year thanks to the support of the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), the Democracy Union of Africa (DUA), and the hosting Istiqlal Party.
The rotational YDUA conference was last year held at Speke Resort Munyonyo in Uganda. Additionally, the YDUA delegation visited the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi, Kampala and was warmly received by and later addressed by top party officials, including Party President Hon. Amuriat Oboi, Secretary General Hon. Nandala Mafabi, Party Whip Hon. Yusuf Nsibambi, and Hon. Hassan Kaps Fungaroo  the Ag. Party President among others.
