Real Madrid signs Franco Mastantuono on a six year contract

Franco Mastantuono can be considered new Real Madrid player as all documents have been signed.  Contract until June 2031 signed by Franco and club to club paperwork with River Plate also completed. Up next: official statement, then Franco will join Real from August.

Franco Mastantuono’s transfer to Real Madrid was confirmed recently. With a staggering fee of 60 million euros gross (45 million net), his move has become the most expensive sale in Argentine football history. Mastantuono, who will turn 18 in August, is expected to join the Spanish giants after competing in the Club World Cup with River Plate.

Though his talent is undeniable—being a starter and standout player for a club as prestigious as River Plate at just 17, and already debuting for the Argentine national team—questions remain about his role at Real Madrid. With a squad packed with stars, especially in attack, it could be challenging for the young player from Azul to secure significant playing time.

Meanwhile, there is growing interest from Premier League heavyweights such as Manchester City, Chelsea, and Arsenal. Given these tempting offers, it wouldn’t be surprising if a 24-year-old attacker currently occupying the same position in Real Madrid’s lineup decides to leave in the coming months. Such a departure would open up opportunities for Mastantuono to establish himself without direct competition in his preferred role.
