Maama Janet and I started the day in Luuka District. I thank God ( Kibumba) because Busoga has been part of my journey for a long time, both in the struggles and in work. In 1972, I passed through Iganga with 12 machine guns from Tanzania. I kept them in a small lodge locked it the whole day not to raise any suspicions and spent the day in Namasagali before returning in the evening to continue the mission to Kampala.
I was here again in 1980, as Minister of Regional Cooperation, when the area was battling trypanosomiasis. So when I return today openly, in peace, and in happiness to talk about our future I feel very happy .
Regarding the issue of Lakwena victims , I direct the Minister for the Presidency to work with the Attorney General to solve this matter.
