Inter Milan’s second-choice goalkeeper Josep Martinez has reportedly run over an 81-year-old man in a wheelchair, killing him instantly.
According to reports, the tragedy occurred around 9.30 a.m. in Fenegro near Como.
It is being said that the Spaniard is unharmed, while the victim might have changed his direction after feeling unwell, eventually blocking the keeper’s vehicle.
Martinez also tended to the victim quickly after the accident to provide assistance. He also cooperated with the authorities.
The tragedy was said to be violent, and emergency services, including a helicopter, an ambulance, and the Carabinieri, responded quickly.
The incident is said to have shaken the Inter star.
