Minister Musasizi Nominated to Defend Rubanda East Parliamentary Seat

The Minister also pledged to expand clean water access to hard-to-reach areas, extend electricity coverage for both households and industrialization, and strengthen poverty alleviation and wealth creation programs, particularly through the Parish Development Model (PDM).

The Minister of Finance (General Duties) and incumbent Member of Parliament for Rubanda East Constituency, Hon. Henry Musasizi, has been duly nominated by the Electoral Commission to contest and defend his seat in the forthcoming 2026 general elections.

Minister Musasizi, who is also the NRM flag bearer, was nominated by the Rubanda District Electoral Commission Registrar, Medard Nteziyaremya, at Rukiiko Hall in Rubanda Town Council on Wednesday.

Speaking shortly after his nomination, Minister Musasizi expressed gratitude to his supporters and reiterated his commitment to implementing the NRM Manifesto at the grassroots level.

“Our focus in the next term will be cascading the NRM Manifesto to the grassroots. It emphasizes key thematic areas such as economic development, road infrastructure, health services, water supply, electricity extension, and poverty alleviation,” he said.
