Steven Magero produced a 63-net round off a 21 handicap to take overall honours in the September MTN competition
Entebbe Golf Club wrapped up a lively weekend with the September edition of the MTN Quarterly Tee, an event that doubled as the finale of the inter-club championships and set the stage for more top tournaments at the lakeside course.
Club officials said golfers and fans can expect an even busier calendar after the Uganda Open, with both the Entebbe Open and a possible Ladies Open in the pipeline.

This edition of the MTN Quarterly Tee drew elite players from Entebbe Golf Club, Uganda Golf Club, and Kigali Golf Resort & Villas. It ended with the host side sealing the inter-club crown on 1,116 points, ahead of Uganda Golf Club (1,038) and Kigali Golf Resort & Villas (783).

Steven Magero produced a 63-net round off a 21 handicap to take overall honours in the September MTN competition, while Ruth Akello topped the earlier MTN category with a 65-net score to win 600,000 shillings.

- Nearest to the Pin: Rukia Nalwoga (ladies), Albert Kita (men)
- Longest Drive: Edith Nice Janda (ladies), Peter Magona (men)
Ladies Category
- Group B: Winner Esther Aganyira (63 net, handicap 34), runner-up Edith Wamalwa (66 net, handicap 23)
- Group A: Winner Bridget Basiima (70 net, handicap 12)
Men’s Category
- Group C: Winner Paul Katuramu (60 net, handicap 21), runner-up Mathias Kalule (62 net, handicap 22)
- Group B: Winner Casper Tevin (64 net, handicap 16), runner-up Richard Mucugunzi (65 net)
- Group A: Winner Paul Habyarimana (68 net, handicap 2), runner-up Andrew Baguma (69 net, handicap 6)
- The results capped a day that combined competitive golf with a festive atmosphere, reaffirming Entebbe’s reputation as one of the country’s premier venues.
