Bill to Regulate Human Resource Professionals Tabled in Parliament

Workers Mp Margeret Rwabushaija has presented the human Resource  management professionals Bill 2025 on the floor of parliament for the first reading .

Rwabushaija said the bill intends to  regulate the human resource management practice in uganda.

She noted that currently there is no legal framework regulating the human resource management practice in uganda despite the country’s social and economic development being dependent on the quality of human resource it possesses.

if passed into law it will establish the human resource management professionals society and provide for the establishment of the council as a governing body of the human resource management professionals society.

The human resource management professionals Bill 2025 has been referred to the Parliamentary Committee of Public service for further  scrutiny.

In 2023,workers Mp Margeret Rwabushaija was granted leave of the house to introduce aprivate members bill the human resource management professionals Bill that seeks to make alaw that will regulate the conduct of human resource management professionals in the country.
