BREAKING!! Senior Museveni Bodyguard Dies In Deadly Road Accident, See What Really Happened

Tears and shock engulfed the Special Forces Command (SFC) headquarters in Entebbe after one of President Yoweri Museveni’s trusted guards was killed in a tragic road accident on Friday morning. The deceased, identified as Droma Vasco, was a State House staff member attached to the elite SFC. His sudden death has sent waves of grief through the army ranks and the State House community.

According to police reports, the accident occurred at around 5:45 am near Victory Church, Seeta, along the busy Mukono–Jinja highway. Vasco died instantly after the vehicle he was traveling in was caught up in a collision involving multiple vehicles. The scene quickly drew security officers and residents, stunned by the scale of destruction.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed the tragic incident. He revealed that the crash involved three vehicles: a bus with registration number RAI 647B, two army trucks (H4DF 1156 and H4DF 2468), and a bulky cement tank carrier. The chain of events leading to the crash was both sudden and fatal.

According to Onyango, the accident started when the bus driver overlapped a long queue of army trucks. In the process, the bus collided with an oncoming cement carrier. To avoid a direct head-on collision, the cement carrier’s driver swerved, losing control and smashing into the two SFC trucks. It was in this violent crash that Vasco lost his life.

Police said the bus driver attempted to flee the scene but was quickly arrested. Vasco’s body was taken to Mulago City Mortuary for a postmortem examination, while the injured soldiers were rushed to Mukono Hospital for emergency treatment. The accident scene remained tense as investigators worked to piece together evidence.

The bus involved in the crash was later towed and parked at Coca-Cola Police Station pending mechanical inspection. SSP Onyango noted that police investigations had begun but pointed to dangerous driving by the bus driver as the likely cause of the fatal collision. He also warned motorists against reckless road behavior, especially on busy highways.

As Uganda mourns yet another life lost on its dangerous roads, the death of Droma Vasco is not only a personal tragedy for his family and colleagues but also a reminder of the daily risks faced by those serving in sensitive security roles. For the SFC, the loss of one of their own is a heavy blow, and for President Museveni, it is the painful departure of a loyal protector.
