Centenary Bank has committed UGX 500 million to the 2025 Rotary Cancer Run, not UGX 400 million as the query suggested. This significant contribution underscores the bank’s long-standing support for cancer care and treatment in Uganda, following the activation event for the run held at Nsambya Hospital. The donation aims to bolster cancer awareness and the construction of critical infrastructure, including the Rotary-Centenary Bank Cancer Centre and radiation bunkers at Nsambya Hospital. By Sunday, it might even reach 600 Million according to Allen Ayebare, the Chief Manager Corporate Communication and Sustainability-Centenary Bank.

“Our journey with Rotary International spans multiple projects in health, education, environmental sustainability, and community empowerment. It is an honor for Centenary Bank to be a key stakeholder in an initiative that continues to make a positive impact on Uganda’s health system.”Ayebare, the Chief Manager of Centenary Bank said during a Press briefing on FRiday at Kololo Ceremonial grounds. We may even end up spending 600million Ug Shillings.
