Left back Sadiq Ssekyembe Joins Kitara FC

Kitara FC have confirmed left back Sadiq Ssekyembe from another Uganda Premier League (UPL) side, Mbarara City FC.

“The roving left back has put pen to paper on a two year employment contract with the Royals,” the club announced on Tuesday.

Ssekyembe, upon signing declared his ambitions with the club: “It’s a great honour to join Kitara, I want to win here — to make history with the team.

According to Kitara CEO, Joshua Atugonza, he just signed one of the finest left backs in the league.

“We believe he (Sekyembe) is a great addition to the Royals family,” Atugonza confidently stated.

Besides Mbarara City, the defender has previously played for Nakivubo Boys, Mengo United ,Katwe United, Express, Gaddafi, and Horseed in Somalia.

Sekyembe is officially the club’s third new signing to be unveiled in the ongoing primary transfer window, following the arrival of right back Henry Musisi, and midfielder Amir Kakomo, both from Mbarara City.
