Iranian Army Chief Says Forces Ready for Military Action Against Israel

Iranian Army Chief Says Forces Ready for Military Action Against Israel.

Iranian Army Commander Amir Hatami said on Sunday that the country’s armed forces are prepared for military confrontation and that Iran’s missile and drone capabilities remain fully operational.

Speaking to ground force commanders, Hatami said that Iran does not consider Israeli threats to be over and remains ready to respond militarily, according to Iranian media reports.

His statement follows a 12-day conflict in which Israel reportedly targeted Iranian missile and nuclear facilities, as well as military commanders, nuclear scientists, and over 1,000 civilians, according to Iranian officials.

In response, Iran launched more than 550 ballistic missiles at Israel, resulting in the deaths of 31 civilians.

President Masoud Pezeshkian recently said Iran’s armed forces are prepared for any act of aggression.

Other Iranian officials have also warned of the possibility of renewed Israeli attacks.

Israeli Defense Minister Yisrael Katz has said Israel would respond with even greater force if threatened again by Iran.

Hatami described the recent conflict as a “strategic mistake” by Israel and claimed the Israeli government has realized it cannot effectively harm Iran.

Despite a ceasefire, both countries remain on high alert.
