CHAN CHAN 2024: Chelle Announces Super Eagles B Final 23-Man Squad

he final 23-man squad for this year’s Africa Nations Championship (CHAN), which Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will co-host, has been announced by head coach Eric Chelle.

Chelle will dominate the tournament with three goalkeepers, seven defenders, six midfielders, and seven forwards, as he revealed his team on Wednesday night.

On Thursday, the home-based Super Eagles will take a plane from Nigeria to Zanzibar to begin their tournament preparations.

Alongside champions Senegal, Congo, and Sudan, they are in Group D.

The home-based Super Eagles advanced to the final but fell to hosts Morocco 4-0 in their most recent match in 2018.

The tournament this year will start on August 2 and go until August 30.

In order to give additional time for preparations and to hold a second qualifying round to determine the final two players, CAF stated on January 14, 2025, the day before the final draw, that the competition would be moved to August.

The officials saw the Kenyan venues’ preparations to host the competition as being far behind schedule.
