Manchester United have made their third signing of the summer transfer window, confirming the arrival of Enzo Kana-Biyik.
The 18-year-old forward arrives at Old Trafford on a free transfer, signing a contract with United after his deal with previous club Le Havre expired.
The highly-rated young Frenchman scored nine goals in 18 appearances for Le Havre’s Under-19 side last season and was included in the senior squad for two matches.
Kana-Biyik joins United at a time where they are desperately short of firepower but supporters will have to wait for their chance to see him in action.
In confirming his arrival, United also revealed the teenager is set to immediately join Swiss club Lausanne-Sport on loan for upcoming season.
Lausanne-Sport are also owned by Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOES group.
He is the third new player in the door following the arrival of Matheus Cunha, who joined from Wolves in a £62million deal having been handed the no10 shirt vacated by Marcus Rashford.
United have also snapped up teenage left-back Diego Leon with the Paraguayan wing-back vowing to make an immediate impression during pre-season.
Cunha is their only addition so far who will go straight into the first-team. United laboured to a woeful 15th place finish last season with huge improvement needed if they are to avoid a similarly dreadful campaign next term.
The club are still in talks to sign Bryan Mbeumo with Brentford rejecting two bids from Old Trafford for their forward. Cunha and Mbeumo scored 15 and 20 Premier League goals respectively last season.
A new striker is also on their list with Aston Villa star Ollie Watkins one option under consideration.
