NRM Parliamentary Caucus Endorses Party Roadmap, Wealth Creation Strategy

The National Resistance Movement (NRM) Parliamentary Caucus on Friday held a meeting at the Office of the President to adopt key resolutions to strengthen the party’s political strategy and economic mobilization efforts.

Addressing the press after the  session, the Government Chief Whip, Hon. Denis Hamson Obua and Chairperson of the NRM Parliamentary Caucus, accompanied by the NRM Electoral Chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi, outlined the resolutions from the meeting.

“We have received, discussed, and adopted the Report of the NRM Secretariat on the National Resistance Movement Voters’ Register and the Political Roadmap for 2024-2027,” Hon Obua stated.

He noted that this is a critical step in ensuring the party is well prepared for upcoming electoral activities and remains rooted in the aspirations of the voters.

The meeting graced by the presence of Her Excellency, the Vice President Hon. Jessica Alupo, focused on economic empowerment through a presentation on wealth creation and mobilization.

The presentation, inspired by President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni’s continued commitment to transforming livelihoods, provided MPs with key strategies to mobilize their constituencies for economic self sustainability.

“As representatives of the people, we must be at the forefront of guiding our communities on wealth creation initiatives,”Obua emphasized.

Obua also informed the press that this will be instrumental in bridging the gap between policy and grassroots economic transformation.

Meanwhile,  Dr. Tanga commended the MPs for their commitment to strengthening the party’s structures.

He reaffirmed the Secretariat’s readiness to implement the roadmap and ensure an updated and credible NRM Voters’ Register ahead of the next election cycle.

The meeting concluded with a unanimous agreement by the Caucus members to actively support the roadmap’s implementation and engage in extensive grassroots mobilization.
