Estonia Announces Military Assistance to Ukraine Worth 100 Million Euros.

The Estonian government has announced a €100 million military aid package for Ukraine.

This was reported by the Estonian Ministry of Defense.

The assistance was formed by transferring a list of necessary equipment to Tallinn, which will be purchased from Estonian defense companies.

The list includes unmanned aerial vehicles, land and sea drones, medical equipment, and other equipment manufactured in Estonia.

“I am very pleased with the high level of the Estonian defense industry and the wide range of products. As a next step, the National Defense Investment Center will sign contracts for the purchase of selected Ukrainian products as soon as possible so that the necessary materials will arrive without delay,” said Katri Raudsepp, Deputy Director General of the National Defense Investment Center.

For security reasons, the specific amount of equipment to be transferred to Ukraine and the timeframe are not disclosed

“We agreed last year that this year and next year we will support Ukraine with military aid in the amount of 0.25% of our GDP annually with Estonian defense industry products. I was pleased to see that there were a lot of Estonian companies that offered their products,” said Defense Minister Hanno Pevkur.

It should be noted that the previous package of military aid from Estonia included about 500 items from 100 Estonian companies.

“Today we have received feedback from Ukraine, which will allow us to deliver the aid to the Ukrainians as soon as possible ,” the minister added.

The Estonian Ministry of Defense announced the transfer of the previous military aid package on February 23, 2025.

At that time, it was noted that Estonia had transferred 10,000 pieces of artillery ammunition to Ukraine as part of that military aid package.

The aid package also included 750,000 food packages for the military.

After Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Estonia became one of the first countries to support Ukraine in its struggle and, despite its own limitations, began to actively support Ukraine.

In addition, the country’s new approach allowed it to transfer aid to Ukraine not only from the Estonian army, but also products of the Estonian defense industry.

In addition, the IT Coalition, created to help Ukraine under the leadership of Estonia and Luxembourg, accumulated almost €500 million in its first year.

During the year, the coalition member states provided bilateral assistance in the IT sector worth €410 million, and €72 million were raised for joint procurement.

Earlier, Militarnyi reported that the Ukrainian military will receive air defense missiles manufactured by the Estonian defense company Frankenburg Technologies for testing.

These inexpensive missiles are designed primarily to shoot down drones. They are capable of shooting down targets at an altitude of up to 2 kilometers.
