Tycoon Ssessazi Robert’s Son Commits Suicide After Being Denied Shs 2m
Kampala businessman Ssesaazi Robert, who is the owner of Trinity Love School in Nyanama-Kampala, is heartbroken after the sudden loss of his young son. According to information obtained by our website, Elishamah Ssesanga, a senior three student at Seeta High School, took his own life in the dormitory as a result of frustration following his wealthy father’s refusal to give him Shs2M that he had requested.
Police in Mukono have kicked off investigations into circumstances under which a senior three student was found hanging dead at the dormitory of Seeta High School.
According to Kampala Metropolitan deputy police spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire,Elishammah Ssesazi, 16 was found hanging in the school dormitory by his colleagues at around 3:am.
“It is alleged that , the deceased had attended evening classes on the previous day until 10:00 PM and later retired to the dormitory along with his classmates. However, at around 3:00 AM, one of his roommates discovered him hanging next to his bed and immediately informed the school administration, which subsequently alerted the police,” Owoyesigyire said.
He said police was informed and removed the body which was taken to the City Mortuary Mulago for a postmortem examination to establish the exact cause of death.
There have been reports that the deceased, a son to a Kampala businessman committed suicide after his dad refused to give him shs2 million he had requested for.
The reports claimed the deceased could not clearly explain what the shs2 million he wanted from his dad was for and on this account, the businessman refused to give in to the demands.
However, Police insisted that it is too early to make such allegations, noting that investigations will help indicate the exact cause of the student’s death.
“At this stage, the motive behind the suspected suicide remains unknown, and investigations are ongoing to gather more details surrounding the incident,” Owoyesigyire said.
“We urge students, parents, and the public to remain calm as the police conduct thorough investigations into this matter. More details will be communicated as the investigation progresses.”
Seeta High School where the incident happened is owned by Minister for Higher Education, John Chrysostom Muyingo.
