One person is dead and five others are injured in hospital after a mass shooting at an Ohio manufacturing warehouse.

New Albany Police responded to an active shooter at KDC/One on the 8800 block of Smith Mill Road North just before 11pm late Tuesday night.

Cops confirmed one person was killed and a further five were rushed to local hospitals in the ‘targeted type of attack’.

The suspect has been identified and is still at large but no longer in the area, according to police.

In an update posted by the NAPD at 1:26am, police said they had finished evacuating employees from the building.

At least 20 people were taken from one building at the scene to another.

Residents are instructed to ‘avoid the area’ as cops hunt the suspect. An investigation is underway at the scene.

Police urge anyone who can assist in the investigation to call NAPD at 614-855-1234.
