News was all over that Hon. Muhammad Ssegirinya, the Kawempe North Member of Parliament, had been ordered to quit his office premises with immediate effect after the landlord increased the rent arrears.
The MP’s Personal Assistant, Alex Luswa Luwemba, explained that they were issued with the notice on the 28th of December 2024 after the landlord had increased the rent fares from Shs.700k to Shs2m.
He noted that the landlord stated that he hiked the rent arrears because of the increase in property rates but Alex believes everything happening is politically motivated.
