IGP Byakagaba shakes up Police

KAMPALA- The Inspector General of Police Abbas Byakagaba has effected a min reshuffle in top Uganda Police Force and transferred officers in different departments at the Headquarters.

According to a Press release dated today January 8th 2025 and signed by the Police Spokesperson Kituuma Rusoke, a total of seven top police officers were affected in the reshuffle.

Others transferred include Charles Ssebambulidde from Directorate of Agriculture to Logistics and Engineering as Deputy Director of classified stores while Acaye Philip has been taken from Traffic and Road Safety to Agriculture as Commandant and Norman Musinga has been removed from Busoga East as Reguonal Police Commander and appointed Deputy Director of Traffic and Road Safety.

The Inspector General of Police also has moved Halango Timothy from the Directorate of Research and Planning to Welfare and Production as Deputy Director and Mubangizi Ben has been taken from Traffic and Toad Safety to Algeria as Police Attache.

In the new transfers and appointments Musana Geoffrey who was recently given a rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police has been transferred from the Directorate of Welfare, Production and Sports to Uganda Embassy in South Sudan as Police Attache to replace Moses Sakira who moves to the Directorate of Research and Planning as Deputy Director.
