The Executive Director of Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group -CSBAG Julius Mukunda has proposed before the parliamentary Budgets Committee to halt the scrutiny of the new National Development Plan IV.
He argued that the target set by the National Planning Authority are unrealistic and unachievable for the government compared to the funds.
ED Mukunda says government needs to first harmonise certain economic components like salary disparities of human capital, improve tax policies and other that can boost the economic growth.
The same civil society body has challenged the transparency in implementing the NDP lV by NPA which drafted it and has also set the targets.
Mukunda argues that it will be hard for the same body to judge and give an independent performance report about the NDP IV which they set them selfies this calling for an independent body to audit the NDP IV.
