Over 500 people from Bududa, Mbale, Sironko, Kampala, Mukono and other districts ended the year by walking around Mount Elgon with the aim of keeping their bodies healthy and promoting tourism in the area. The Mt Elgon trek started from Arlington Academy of Hope at Bumwalukhani village in Sikholo town council in Bududa district to Masaba secondary school in Sironko district for about 8-9 hours
 According to the main Speaker of the match, Budadiri MP hon. Nathan Nandala mafabi, this is the third time the match is taking place and he told us about the history of the march which is mainly aimed at promoting education, health, tourism and other services to the people of Bududa and Sironko.
MP Nandala praised the Lord for the beauty and the way he created the region and urged people to respect nature by protecting such things as mountains, animals, forests and others there as well as loving the communities they come from and lifting them in different conditions.
