Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs accused of dangling woman off 17th-floor balcony.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been accused of dangling a woman off a 17th floor balcony.

Fashion designer Bryana ‘Bana’ Bongolan is suing the star for US$10 million (S$13.4 million) in damages over the alleged incident — which is said to have taken place at the home of Combs’ ex-girlfriend Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura in 2016 — with the woman claiming the hip-hop star groped her and held her close to the edge of the balcony which left her fearing for her life.

A representative for Combs told USA Today: “Anyone has the right to file a lawsuit, regardless of the evidence they may or may not have.

“Since last year, Bongolan has expressed an intention to sue Combs and has sought legal representation to pursue her claims.

“Combs firmly denies these serious allegations and remains confident they will ultimately be proven baseless.

“He has unwavering faith in the facts and in the fairness of the judicial process. In court, the truth will come to light, demonstrating that the claims against Combs are without merit.”

The lawsuit — filed in Los Angeles last week — accuses Combs of sexual battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, false imprisonment and other claims, according to People.

Bongolan is seeking US$10 million in damages for the emotional distress she allegedly suffered.

The paperwork states: “The only purpose of dangling someone over a balcony is to actually kill them or to intentionally terrorise them and rob them of any concept of dominion over their own bodily autonomy and safety.”

The lawsuit added of the alleged incident: “He [Combs] grabbed her, turned her back to his chest, and molested her by groping her breasts as she yelled to be left alone …

“[Bongolan] attempted to resist him, throwing her weight back in a struggle not to be thrown to the ground and what would likely be her death [but Combs] easily overpowered her again.”

Bongolan is believed to have met Combs through Cassie and worked with him for two years.

Combs is currently being held at a detention centre in New York as he awaits trial on sex crimes charges following his arrest in September. His case will go to court in May 2025.

He has denied charges of racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking by force, fraud, or coercion and transportation to engage in prostitution.
