Girl dies from injuries after County Wexford assault
A girl has died after an assault in County Wexford, Gardaí (Irish police) have said.
Gardaí and other emergency services were called to a home New Ross at about 23:45 local time on Sunday.
The girl was taken to hospital in Waterford but died from her injuries in the early hours of Monday.
Two other people – a man and woman in their 30s – were also injured but their condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
The girl’s age has not been confirmed.
It is understood that Gardaí are following a definite line of enquiry and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the investigation.
