Four Killed in Armed Attack on Ambulance in Southeastern Iran.
An armed attack on an emergency ambulance in southeastern Sistan and Baluchistan province killed four people on Saturday, according to Iran’s emergency medical services.
Spokesperson Babak Yektaparast reported that the ambulance was transporting victims of a tribal conflict when a pursuing vehicle opened fire.
The casualties included an emergency technician, two injured individuals, and a patient’s companion.
The ambulance driver was severely injured, and another emergency technician remains in critical condition.
Yektaparast condemned the violence against emergency workers and announced the launch of the “White Wound” campaign to address attacks on healthcare personnel.
