This 1 Taylor Swift Song Spiked in Streams on Election Day

However, the lyrics were inspired by her reaction to the 2018 midterms after the candidate she endorsed in Tennessee lost, Swift told Variety. While the 2024 election results were expected to take a few days, Donald Trump was declared the projected winner late on Tuesday night.
