Due to a combination of factors, 4.4 million people in Somalia face food insecurity by the end of the year. From floods to a worsening dry spell and conflict, communities in Somalia are resorting to eating one meal a day. This has caused a spike in malnutrition in children. Women and girls face increased risks of SGBV as they travel further to look for water. At the same time, the humanitarian fund is grossly underfunded at only 39%.
