Darwen TikTok star Max Balegde deletes Liam Payne videos

A social media influencer from Darwen has broken his social media silence after deleting videos he made about Liam Payne.

He has since deleted all videos from his platforms.

Max said he deleted the videos “out of respect”. He said it “didn’t feel right to leave those videos up” after Liam fell from his hotel balcony in Argentina.

Posting to social media for the first time in two weeks he said: “You might have noticed that I have been away from socials for a few days and I have had a lot of people ask me why I took down my videos about Liam Payne.

“The reason for both of these is out of respect to this tragic news. I always want my pop culture content to be light-hearted so it didn’t feel right to leave those videos up given the awful news.

“Sending love to everyone affected by this loss.”

Max posted several videos about Liam “poking fun” at the singer.

On the podcast, Liam discussed a time when an unnamed band One Direction member allegedly “threw him up against a wall”.

In the clip Liam said “If you don’t remove those hands there’s a high likelihood you’ll never use them again.”

Many people mocked the singer for making the comment, including Max.

Max wore a shirt with the quote on at Capital’s Summertime Ball, in 2022.

Liam fell from a third-balcony balcony at the Casa Sur Hotel. He died of multiple traumas and “internal and external haemorrhage”, a post-mortem examination report said.

Argentina’s National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office No 16 said it was investigating the incident as an “inconclusive death”.

It said five witnesses were questioned in order to reconstruct what happened at the hotel.

A joint statement from One Direction said they were “completely devastated” and will miss the singer “terribly”, adding the “memories we shared with him will be treasured forever”.
