Boeing completes first flight of Thailand’s AH-6 helicopter

Boeing has announced that Thailand’s first AH-6 Little Bird helicopter successfully completed its maiden flight at the company’s facility in Mesa, Arizona.

The Royal Thai Army is set to receive a total of eight AH-6 helicopters, which will significantly enhance its rotary-wing capabilities.

“This is the first of eight AH-6s we’ll deliver to the Royal Thai Army to support its defense modernization efforts,” Boeing shared in a statement on its X (formerly Twitter) account.

The AH-6 helicopters are part of Thailand’s ongoing initiative to update its military aviation fleet with modern, versatile platforms capable of supporting a wide range of missions.

The AH-6 Little Bird is a light attack and reconnaissance helicopter known for its agility, precision, and combat effectiveness. Originally developed for the U.S. military, the helicopter has been used in various conflict zones for close air support, special operations, and surveillance missions.
