Hezbollah forces 2 Israel warplanes out of Lebanese airspace

Hezbollah announced yesterday evening that it had repelled two Israeli warplanes over the towns of Houla and Meiss El Jabal using its weapons, forcing the aircraft to leave Lebanese airspace.

In a statement shared via its official Telegram channel, Hezbollah said: “The air defence units of the resistance confronted two hostile warplanes over the towns of Houla and Meiss El Jabal using the appropriate weapons, compelling them to exit Lebanese airspace.”

The statement also indicated that “the interception comes in support of the steadfast Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in solidarity with their brave and honourable resistance, and defence of Lebanon and its people.”

Israel has escalated its attacks on Lebanon, entering the third day of its offensive. For the first time, Israeli strikes have targeted villages in Chouf and Keserwan, alongside an unprecedented escalation in the south, the Bekaa and Baalbek regions. The roar of jets and the repercussions of missile strikes could be felt as far as Beirut.
