President Sadyr Japarov today received newly arrived Ambassador of South Korea Kim Kwang-jae, who presented his credentials, the president’s press service reported.
The President congratulated the Ambassador with start of diplomatic mission in Kyrgyzstan, adding the diplomatic relations established 32 years ago build upon traditions of friendship, spiritual and cultural similarities, mutually beneficial cooperation principles.
President Japarov noted positive results in implementation of bilateral projects in socio-economic sphere.
Several intergovernmental agreements were signed in the framework of the Economic Cooperation and Development Fund (EDCF), bilateral projects are being implemented between Kyrgyzstan and South Korea.
The Korean Ambassador noted Kyrgyzstan’s achievements in economic development, creating jobs and implementing large infrastructure and social projects.
The Korean side is interested in deepening cooperation and is ready to share best practices and modern technologies to expand the potential for interaction between the two countries, the Ambassador said.
The parties expressed their readiness to further develop and strengthen multifaceted cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
