Ahead of today’s plenary sitting, the Rt. Hon. Speaker Anita Among met Amarurworth Precious, a 2-year old girl who was brought to her attention by her mother. 
The mother revealed that Precious had been poisoned by a neighbor, leaving her unable to speak or eat. Precious is currently being cared for at home. Parliament has arranged for her to be taken to Mulago Hospital for specialized treatment, with all expenses covered until she regains consciousness.
