Celtic make bid of around £5m for Sheff Utd defender Trusty
Celtic have made a bid worth around £5m for Sheffield United centre-back Auston Trusty.
The Hoops are on the hunt for a centre-back before Friday’s transfer deadline, after fringe players Yuki Kobayashi and Gustaf Lagerbielke left for Portimonense and FC Twente, respectively.
Trusty, 26, joined the Blades from Arsenal for £5m last summer.
The USA international can play centre-back and left-back.
Chelsea sign goalkeeper Penders from Genk
Chelsea have completed the signing of goalkeeper Mike Penders from Genk for a reported fee of £17m, with the 19-year-old to officially join the Blues next summer.
The Belgium U19 international has signed an eight-year contract at Stamford Bridge, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2032.
Penders will stay on loan at Genk this season.
Forest make £25m bid for Brentford’s Wissa
