AFC Bournemouth are delighted to announce the signing of defender Dean Huijsen from Juventus, for an undisclosed fee.
The 19-year-old has signed a six-year deal with the Cherries, keeping him at Vitality Stadium until at least the summer of 2030.

He becomes the club’s fourth senior signing of the summer, following the arrivals of Alex Paulsen, Daniel Jebbison and the permanent addition of Enes Ünal.
AFC Bournemouth chief executive Neill Blake told afcb.co.uk: “We are delighted to bring in a player of such high calibre on a long-term deal.
“Dean is someone that has such exciting potential and we are all excited to see where his journey with the club will go.
“We’re looking forward to welcoming him to Vitality Stadium and working together to help develop further all the qualities that he already possesses.”
Amsterdam-born centre-back Huijsen arrives having spent the second half of last season on loan at Roma, where he made 13 appearances in all competitions.
He netted twice during his spell with Daniele De Rossi’s side, the first with a powerful header after coming off the bench in a 4-0 victory over Cagliari in February.
Later that month, he then produced a memorable solo goal to open the scoring in Roma’s 3-0 victory at Frosinone.
After picking up the ball on the halfway line, Huijsen ran to the edge of the box before arrowing a strike into the corner of the net.
He helped Roma finish sixth in the Italian top flight last season.
Huijsen had been with Juventus since 2021, having signed from Malaga’s youth setup. He rose through the ranks with Juve and made his senior debut in October 2023, in a 1-0 win over AC Milan.
The defender represented the Netherlands at youth level and was part of the Dutch side that finished as runners-up in the 2022 UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
He scored penalties in the group stages of that tournament against France and Poland.
Having relocated to Spain as a child, he gained citizenship and was called up to the Spain under-21 squad earlier this year.
He made his Spain under-21 debut against Belgium in March.
