Hon. Ibrahim Ssemujju has been arrested after he together with other legislators joined residents in Kasokoso in a stand-off over NEMA evictions in the area.
Residents of Kasokoso in Kira Sub-county, gathered to meet with Hon. Ssemujju, Kira Municipality MP and Ronald Balimwezo, Nakawa East MP, to discuss issues involving NEMA and UNRA. However, upon arrival, they found a heavy police and UPDF presence. Authorities claim they were unaware of the scheduled meeting.
