JOHANNESBURG – Former President Jacob Zuma is back in the Electoral Court on Monday morning on a matter against an expelled leader of his uMkhonto weSizwe (MK) Party, Jabulani Khumalo.

Khumalo, who founded the party, was ousted by Zuma before the general elections.

However, Khumalo wants his expulsion to be declared invalid and unlawful, insisting that he is still the registered leader of the party.

Khumalo denied writing a letter to the Electoral Commission of South Africa (IEC) transferring his leadership powers to Zuma.

The MK Party has been in existence for less than a year and has successfully garnered votes in 2024’s elections, managing to secure 58 seats in the National Assembly.
