Prudential Uganda, in collaboration with seven Rotary Clubs, has celebrated the successful completion of renovation and construction projects at Bulamuka Primary School in Kamuli District.

These endeavours form part of Prudential Uganda’s broader initiative to aid educational institutions in overcoming the hurdles posed by the Covid-19 pandemic. Rooted in our commitment to “Purpose for Every Life, For Every Future” and our sustainability ambition to deliver tangible impact and foster long-term resilience in the communities we serve.

The global health crisis brought unprecedented challenges, particularly in education. Responding to this, Prudential Uganda donated $70,000, equivalent to Uganda Shillings 261,000,000, to initiate the transformation of Bulamuka Primary School.

Tetteh Ayitevie, CEO of Prudential Uganda, underscores the renovation’s significance in uplifting education standards not only at Bulamuka Primary School but across Uganda.

“At Prudential, we believe in education’s transformative power. Our partnership with Rotary Clubs underscores our commitment to empowering the next generation. By creating a safe and conducive learning environment at Bulamuka Primary School, we are investing in Uganda’s future,” he stated.

The renovation project addressed critical infrastructure gaps, including classroom block refurbishments, construction of a new kitchen, installation of sanitation facilities, rainwater harvesting tanks, and tree planting within the school premises. These enhancements ensure students receive quality education in a safe and conducive environment.

Edward Kakembo Nsubuga, Governor of Rotary District 9213, expressed appreciation for the collaborative effort, highlighting Rotary Clubs’ dedication to serving communities and addressing crucial needs.

“Our partnership with Prudential Uganda demonstrates the collective impact achievable when organizations unite for a common cause. We take pride in contributing to this initiative to enhance educational opportunities for children in Kamuli District,” he affirmed.

Prudential Uganda, alongside seven Rotary Clubs, including Rotaract Clubs of Tankhill City and Kansanga Hope, is optimistic about the collaborative impact on students, teachers, and the entire community.

The renovation and construction at Bulamuka Primary School were made possible by the generous support of the Prudence Foundation, the community investment arm of Prudential.
